Write a shoprt summary of what has happened in the book so far and your opinion of the book.

From what I remember in the book that Anne and her family were low on food and all they had left were potatoes and I believe it was kale a form of spinach. Also another part that I remember is when Margot and Anne were writing each other back and forth and talking about their relationship. Anne is still adoring Peter as well. Anne describes things very well in her writing. My opinion on the book is that I would actually like to go see where they were staying and just get a vibe of how it felt like to be hiding back then.

Spring Break

I had a great Spring Break. I went to Maui with my friends and family. I actually did get some school work done on my online classes. I did some reading but not as much as I should have over the break. I had a blast in Maui, there was so much to do, but most of the time I was at the spa with my aunt Niki. But it feels good to be home again it really does.

What are your plans for Spring Break?

These are my plans for Spring break: doing a lot of class work, getting things packed for Texas and getting things organized. Possibly during the break get some extra time for myself. I plan to pamper myself before I leave to Texas.

Do you think Anne would have wanted her diaries to be published?

I think Anne would have want her diaries to be published. I think she would feel kind of embarassed though to have thousands of people reading them but other than that I think she would be happy because they would have gotten to read how she was living.

What is your favorite time of the day?

My favorite time of the day is at night because there is a lot more things to do. For example: you can go to the movies, go on adventures and spend time with your family and just unwind. The ritual that I like to do before I go to bed is I like to take a long calming bath and light the candles. It sets a calm affect. That is my favorite part of the day.

What would you do if you were suddenly transported to amsterdam in 1944?

Honestly I think I would be scared because of all of the Nazi's. Just being over there would be terrifying. Going through what they went through back then must have been hard and if I was transported there I would have been really scared.

What is your opinion of Anne's relationship with her sister Margot?

I think that their relationship has changed a lot and that they can actually talk to each other now. I also think that they seem to be getting closer to each other as well. It seems like the more that they are around each other the better it seems.

"Anne says whoever is happy will make others happy too." Do you agree why or why not?

I most definetly agree with Anne on this statement, because when you are happy and then when other people see that you are happy, it makes them feel happy for you and makes them feel good. But not everybody is happy. Some people get really jealous, because the other people are happy and they are not. But some people choose not to be happy. But I agree with Anne when you are happy others are happy too.

Plan for Reading 180

I think that going to both sessions for Reading 180 will help me focus more on my online classes as well. I want to get done with school already, I am very close now than I was before. I want to start going to school from 8am-4pm twice a week and then the other days have the Reading 180 and the 2 hours of online classes. The more I get done with my online classes and finish them the better it will be for me and easier. I am graduating this year. I know I am and I know that I can do it. I have to believe in myself and push myself to do it.

What is your favorite way to spend free time?

For Spring break I am going to San Juan, Puerto Rico to visit my great great grandma, I am really excited. Most of what I do in my free time is: I like to look for jobs, dance, write music, spend time with my family and I love to cook. Lately I have been trying to start a support group for women who have had abortions or miscarriages to give the women the support they need to get through it. The first meeting will be held Monday March 22, 2010 at 6:30pm at my grandma's house. I am really excited and can't wait to see how it all turns out.

Hiding from Agfganistan, what would be different what would be the same?

Well if I was hiding from the Taliban in Iraq I would be really scared. Just imagining what she is going through and to picture what I would be going through would have its all effects. I would be really scared and wouldn't really know what to so at that point. I am not really sure what would be the same or what would be different but I am sure that Anne and I would be going through the same thing.

What do you think Anne should do to get along better with her mother and the Van Daan?

I think Anne and her mother and the relationship they have is rough, but every teenager at her age will have that all her life with anyone. The relationship they have is very interesting but I also can relate to it as well with my step mom and I. The way that they can get along better is by talking to each other more and having that special bond that they need to have a mother and daughter. With the relationship with her and the Van Daans Anne should treat them fairly as well to the way she treats her parents. Then they would all get along together.

Did you ever have a crush on someone in grade school or middle school? What do you think the difference is between having a crush and being in love?

Yes I did have a crush. In middle school his name was Emmanuel Lopez. He was a football player for my school and he had good grades and he was really sweet. The difference between love and a crush is that love is more meaningful and powerful than a crush. A crush is just like eye candy where you can look and talk about him but not actually be with that person. Having a crush is good but being in love is even better.

What is one thing that you can relate to the book that we are reading?

There are actually a few things that I can relate to in this book. I can see myself in Anne a lot because when I was her age I went through some of the same feelings that she is going through. The relationship with her mom is kind of like the same relationship I have with my step mom. Anne is a modern teen she is just like the rest of us teens, she writes about her life and what is going on, most teens these days would do the same.
